Child Care Providers United Training Fund

The Child Care Providers United Training Fund provides high-quality, worker-centered professional development opportunities for family child care providers in California. We were approached to design a digital presentation that highlighted the success of one of their development programs that supported monolingual Spanish-speaking providers. The directive was to make the report more engaging and impactful — a version that’s easy to read and visually compelling for funders, partners, and providers. Part of the challenge was also developing a complimentary design system that supported and aligned with their current brand, introducing new visual elements that would further push the brand forward.

We started by looking at past image treatment and styling from previous reports. What we found was a brand that was playful and colorful. Our solution would be to lean into what they had started but level up their overall design system.

We landed on a collage and layered visual direction. Playful became quirky, celebrating the program's diversity and dedication to the child care landscape. We introduced new typography and made more use of the range of colors the brand provided.
